Greenvolt Next jobs Waterford announcement includes 50 new HQ roles

Greenvolt Next, part of Greenvolt Group and a specialist in renewable energy solutions for the commercial and industrial sector, will recruit for a range of mid-level to senior roles over the next 12 months.

The Waterford-based roles will include project engineers, senior project engineers, project managers and site managers. A further 40 jobs will also be created within Greenvolt Next’s UK arm.

The new positions form part of a significant investment in the company’s expansion, talent acquisition strategy and long-term growth plans.

Waterford HQ expansion to support company growth

As part of the investment, Greenvolt Next will further develop its existing Waterford headquarters, increasing the site by 2,176 sq ft and equipping it with the latest technologies.

The company said the expanded team will allow it to deliver more large-scale renewable energy projects across Ireland and the UK. This will support developers and landowners in advancing renewable assets, while helping to meet the growing demand for green energy solutions.

Renewable energy jobs Ireland boosted by rising demand

The announcement reflects the continued growth of renewable energy jobs in Ireland, as more businesses seek sustainable and cost-effective ways to manage their energy needs.

Greenvolt Next supports businesses with their renewable energy transformation and has delivered some of Ireland’s largest and most innovative renewable energy projects, including the Sanofi Waterford solar farm.

The company also works with leading retailers including Lidl, Aldi and Tesco.

Solar and battery storage projects expected to grow

Greenvolt Next expects to see significant revenue growth over the next three years, driven by accelerated market growth, rising demand for sustainable and renewable energy solutions, and requirements around CSRD reporting.

The company anticipates particularly strong demand for solar panel installations and battery storage projects over the next 12 months.

In 2025, Greenvolt Next reduced customer CO2 emissions by 30,000 tonnes. A further 150,000 tonnes of CO2 is projected to be avoided over the next three years as demand for renewable energy continues to rise.

Looking ahead, Greenvolt Next CEO says expansion will support customers and the environment

“That means investing in operations, growing the team and innovating for customers. As well as marking the next stage in our own journey, this will allow us to make renewable energy easy for more organisations across Ireland and the UK. In turn, they will not only be more sustainable but also more successful.”

New roles to support the energy transition

Greenvolt Next operates within Greenvolt Group, a growing international renewable energy group also focused on utility-scale and sustainable biomass projects.

The company said the new roles will offer opportunities for professional development, enabling people to contribute to projects with a tangible impact and support the advancement of the energy transition.
