At Greenvolt Next, our commitment to sustainability is intrinsically related to our core business and offer to clients, as much as our impact on society. That’s why we’re excited to share a recent highlight from STOP – Greenvolt Group’s social and sustainability Programme – in Ireland, that is all about the “T” in STOP: Talk to Future Generations

Last week, Greenvolt Next had the pleasure of hosting 30 SETU students at the Solar Farm. The students from the Sustainable Energy degree at SETU (South East Technological University) joined us for a walk-through visit at one of our solar farms. As the future engineers, innovators, and change-makers who will help shape the energy landscape of tomorrow, it was a great opportunity to look closer into how a solar farm operates. From infrastructure and maintenance to the environmental impact and the current challenges of clean energy generation, the visit was an opportunity to have insightful discussions around the future of renewable energy in Ireland and across Europe.

For us, these visits are more than just a tour, as they’re often about inspiring curiosity, encouraging ambition, and opening the door to possibilities in this sector, giving students the chance to ask questions, see theory in action, and hear directly from people working in the industry.

The STOP program is built on the idea that true sustainability isn’t just about action today—it’s about education, empowerment, and long-term thinking. Through initiatives like this, we aim to build bridges between industry and education, helping to prepare the next generation for the journey ahead.

A huge thank you to the faculty and SETU students to make the time to visit the solar farm, for your thoughtful questions, and your passion for a greener future. We look forward to seeing where your paths lead and hope they cross with ours again soon! To find out more about STOP, visit this page: Stop – Greenvolt
