Greenvolt Next has begun construction on a new 12MW solar farm at Barryscourt, Co. Cork, after being appointed by Irish renewable energy developer Voltclub to deliver the project.<\/span><\/p>\n

The development will see almost 20,000 solar panels installed across the site, creating 12MW of renewable generation capacity. Voltclub, which designed the project requirements, is an Irish renewable energy developer and emerging independent power producer. Founded in 2020 and headquartered in Dublin, the company develops, funds, constructs and operates renewable energy and energy storage infrastructure across Ireland.<\/span><\/p>\n

PTSB is providing project finance for Voltclub\u2019s Barryscourt development.<\/span><\/p>\n

Its Irish portfolio includes the Sanofi Waterford solar farm and renewable energy projects for major retailers including Lidl, Aldi and Tesco.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2025, Greenvolt Next said its projects reduced customer CO\u2082 emissions by approximately 30,000 tonnes, with a further 150,000 tonnes of reductions projected over the following three years.<\/span><\/p>\n
